Work > When your neighbors are (not) nice to you (2013-ongoing)

2014

The project started as a response to “Jericho Walks” performed by a number of evangelical Korean churches. For the past decade, many Christian churches in Korea have organized walks around Buddhist temples, Muslim mosques as well as gay areas both in and outside of Korea claiming that the places are full of sinners.

Since early 2013, I have been doing personal walks around Mega churches in Korea where there were major scandals from illegal inheritance to adulteries of pastors, and have documented the performance as videos and photography. Recently I have extended this project to Korean churches in Los Angeles area where I currently live and there are over 500 Korean churches.

The project includes photography, film, music video and a website. For more details, visit here
